Andrei Antonets – aka OID – (Born in Riga in 1976)
is a Russian electronic musician and producer, composer, сurator and DJ known also as the co-founder of Alexandroid. Established in 1996, Alexandroid rapidly became one of the most remarkable projects in Post Soviet experimental electronica.

At Radio France’s International Electronic Music Awards in 2004, a jury chaired by Laurent Garnier selected Alexandroid from 150 projects – all across Eastern Europe. Garnier awarded the duo with the Grand Prix.

Three Alexandroid LPs have been released in Russia –on key labels such as Art-Tek, Electrus, and Citadel. Further afield, other recordings – for example “False Starts” and “OS” – have appeared in Britain (Lo Recordings) and Germany (K20).
His further works were released on labels such as Lo Recordings (UK), Pampa, Milnor Modern(DE)

Also Andrei has composed original music for 8 full length movies,
he is the author of music for more than 200 commercials, including works for Yandex, Statoil, AUDI etc.

He did collaborations with various art projects and artists (SILA SVETA, Mikhail Rozanov, Mikelis Fisers, Blue Soup, as well as cultural institutions (State Tretyakov Gallery, Fotografiska Stockholm, Lexus Hybrid Art, MMOMA, Moscow Planetarium, Garage -Moscow Museum of Contemporary Art, etc.)
