BLACK DEVIL AT FABRIC
For those who don’t already know Black Devil is mysterious Frenchman Bernard Fevre.
In October 2006 Lo Recordings released his first album in 28 years, a ‘deep dark disco masterpiece’ appropriately called ’28 After’. It followed the original Black Devil Disco Club album released in 1978 and released in 2004 on the Aphex Twin’s Rephlex label. A bona fide cult classic creating Black Devil fans all over the world including Tiga, Hot Chip, Luke Vibert, Morgan Geist, Lindstrom, James Holden, Baldelli and DJ Harvey.

Since the ecstatic reception to ’28 After’ and its follow up ‘In Dub’, Black Devil decided to take his ‘sinister, psychedelic disco sound which recalls both Joy Division and Giorgio Moroder’ direct to the people. Having played at Berlin’s Panorama Bar, Paris’ Phunk Circus, Sonar Festival in Barcelona and many other hot locations, Black Devil Disco Club bring their live show to London’s Fabric as part of Fabric’s 8th anniversary celebrations.

To add even more joy to this already joyous event we have 3 pairs of tickets to give away. To be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets just email info@hub100.com with the answer to this simple question. Who provided remixes on the Black Devil ‘In Dub’ album?’

MOOGY WONDERLAND
‘Moog Acid’, the long-awaited collaboration between Jean-Jacque Perrey & Luke Vibert will (finally) be released in September.

In 2001 Jean Jacques Perrey and Luke Vibert met for the first time to embark on a fantastic journey that would finally yield the remarkable ‘Moog Acid’ album. In the intervening years there were many recording sessions in different studios with assorted musicians, and days, weeks, years spent in search of the perfect Moog sound. And all the time esoteric messages from Jean Jacques concerning The book of Enoch, the future of the human race and his secret communications with dolphins were being beamed in…

The ‘Moog Acid’ album explores the kind of musical landscape that you might expect from a creative partnership of this magnitude; insane cut-ups using JJP’s original samples, drum and bass, disco, hip hop and funk beats, the voice of Jean Jacques, together with trumpet, sitar, percussion and all manner of Moog action and electronic manipulation. The finished creation is one of the most inspirational and enjoyable albums you’re ever likely to hear.

BLACK DEVIL DISCO CLUB - 'BLACK DEVIL IN DUB'
Dub me, its Black Devil Disco Club – Out now!

Hot on the heels of last year’s incredible ’28 After’ album, Black Devil return with their sinister, psychedelic disco sound which recalls both Joy Division and Giorgio Moroder.
Containing 6 electronic ‘dub’ versions of the album tracks by the Devil himself plus 6 by some of the Devil’s biggest fans who just happen to be some of the best exponents of the cosmic nu disco sound.

Here is what some people had to say:
“… just trust me on this and buy it”. M8

“… it about as camp as Quentin Crisp in a tent” TNT Magazine

“… There is really something in the air as far as unabashed hedonist-hallucio future-disco fever goes and here’s one of the originators with his disciples misbehaving gloriously” Kris Needs, DMC Update

“… If you love Disco, then get it. If you don’t love Disco, you’ve still got to get it. Get it?” 10/10 FutureMusic

“Its never felt so good to be nice and sleazy, fun and fast, and best of all… a sexy robot” One Week to Live
